Lawsuit Could Cause Financial Disaster At Upper Deck

A lawsuit that stems over Upper Deck making fake Yu-Gi-Oh cards is about to be decided and the results could cripple the company. One has to think that loosing the Baseball and Basketball license, Tiger Woods image falling off a cliff and now a pending multi-million dollar lawsuit Upper Decks financial status may not be spectacular. On top of that, the country is climbing out of a recession that has hurt all businesses, including Upper Deck.

"This could be the end of Upper Deck," said Joshua Leland Evans, chairman of memorabilia shop Leland's Auction House in Bohemia, NY. "I'm not sure they can survive this. We are hearing big rumors of financial trouble at Upper Deck. It could only be a matter of time before they go out of business."

Who knows if the financial rumors are true, but if UD looses this one...better hope your redemptions are redeemed before they have to send the check to Konami.
